Steak Tacos
Description
Are you tired of boring old ground beef lunch lady tacos? Give my Steak Tacos a try and you will not be disappointed! I’ve created a marinade that lends so much flavor to your steak by using ingredients like lime and pineapple juices along with more savory ingredients like soy sauce, garlic, and onions. Let your steak marinate for at least 60 minutes, but up to 3 hours is best for maximum flavor. I like to use a thinner flank steak for this recipe, but I have also used this recipe with sirloin steak or a skirt steak and it has been just as delicious. I love to serve these Steak Tacos on a tortilla with some simple ingredients like onions, cilantro, and some hot sauce. My red cabbage slaw is also an excellent topping for these Steak Tacos, especially if you love your tacos with a nice and cool crunch. If you’re not in the mood for tacos, you can also use this recipe to make a delicious burrito bowl using my Cilantro Lime Rice or even serve as fajitas with some sauteed peppers and onions. There is a flood of ways to enjoy this recipe. Speaking of flooding, did you know about that time I was swept away in a flash flood? It was a picture perfect spring morning so I decided to head to one of my favorite local trails for a hike. I was taking in all of the fresh spring blooms from newly sprouted daisies to unfurling fiddlehead ferns when the sky suddenly turned dark. Sensing that something was up, I grabbed my phone and opened the weather app only to see that I was about to be hit by a torrent of rain. Before I could head for higher ground, the rain began to pour in an absolute deluge. As I scanned my surroundings for a temporary shelter, I heard the most enormous roar. Before I could take any action, my feet were swept from under me and I was being taken downstream by an angry current. As luck would have it, I was able to grab onto a floating log, which served as my safety raft for the duration of my unintended ride. After a short amount of time, I had made it safely to the bank and was able to make my way back to the trail. Even though I was soaking wet, I was thankful that my misadventure had not taken a turn for the worse. Once I got home, I was hit with the most furious hunger I have ever had so I whipped up a batch of my Steak Tacos.
